The Position:

We're looking for a Youth PT Mechanic Helper to work in our Greenville, WI maintenance and repair facility. Under the direction of the Shop Foreman, this part-time seasonal position will be exposed to the basics of construction and other equipment repair in a safe and efficient manner.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Assists in the inspecting and testing of vehicles, completing preventive maintenance such as, engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotation and changes, wheel balancing, replacing filters
• Verifies vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems as directed
• Helps verify compliance with state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.
• Assists in maintaining vehicle records by recording service and repairs
• Supports shop operation by following operating instructions, cleaning, and maintaining supplies
• Updates job knowledge by participating in hands-on training opportunities; and reading technical publications
• Takes active role in the safety programs of the shop
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned

The Benefits:

This Part-time position will receive hourly pay, and access to robust Walbec training in a professional shop environment.

The Location:

• This position works as part of the staff in our Greenville, WI maintenance & repair facility

The Candidate:

• A valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record
• Willingness to take direction and follow instruction

• Some relevant High School coursework, and/or work experience
• Attention to detail

• Be able to tolerate and work in typical heavy shop environment as part of a large team
