Warehouse Clerk

Position summary:

Under the direction of the Shops Manager, the Warehouse Clerk is Responsible for assisting in a variety of warehouse duties, including shipping and receiving, unloading and loading trucks, fulfilling purchase orders and sales orders, and keeping warehouse stocked with essential equipment in an organized manner.

Role and Responsibilities

• Receive trucks and unload merchandise.
• Check in merchandise and affix labels prior to moving to proper storage location
• Fulfill customer orders and stage as appropriate for internal customers
• Place merchandise on pallets as needed for distribution. Band and/or wrap as needed
• Accurately record amounts of materials or items received
• Responsible to perform or assist in any cycle count processes
• Responsible for organizational structure and cleanliness in the warehouse at all times
• Follow all safety codes and participate in shop safety initiatives
• Identify damage, loss, or surplus of goods and materials stored in the warehouse.
• Carry out any additional tasks as assigned by the warehouse supervisor / manager.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent
• Good communication skills
• Basic understanding of Windows office programs
• Ability to lift 75 pounds
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Ability to operate or be trained to operate a forklift and any other freight transfer equipment

Preferred Skills

• Basic understanding of supply chain management
• Previous experience in a shipping/receiving or supply chain capacity
