The Position:

Under the direction of the Regional Equipment Manager, the Regional Parts Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the parts departments located within four of our southeast Wisconsin equipment repair facilities. Additionally, in this new role, you will provide input and guidance on how to organize inventory within these facilities.

  • Support shop foreman and mechanics ensuring they have the parts and supplies available to fulfill equipment repair work orders safely, efficiently, timely and within budget.
  • Manage and maintain stock part/supply inventory levels located at each of the four facilities.
  • Take internal customer order requests via ERP system, walk-ups, emails, calls text messages, etc. and fulfill these with internal and external purchase orders.
  • Update internal customer on status of part/supply.
  • Inspect all incoming parts/supplies for damage, quantity variances, order accuracy etc. and resolve any issues with our internal Purchasing Agents or manufacturer/vendor.
  • Lead inventory cycle counts, reconcile inventory variances, and assist in setting min/max levels.
  • Monitor all shop consumables and replenish inventory as needed.
  • Aid in forecasting goals and procedures to minimize supply chain shortages/delays.
  • Strive for continuous improvement of part warehouse/bin layouts, organization and process flow to maximize efficiency and decrease overhead/inventory costs.
  • Willingness to assist with local parts deliveries and pick-ups as needed

The Candidate:

  • Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience related to inventory/parts management/supply chain
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, other software applications and technology
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work both independently and within a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • General knowledge of parts used in a heavy equipment maintenance shop is desired
