The Position:

We're looking for a Pit Loader Operator responsible for working in quarry production. The position requires experienced and skilled operation of a large, wheeled loader such as a CAT 988, CAT 990 or CAT 992. Quarry production involves loading blasted shot rock material into trucks to feed the processing plant. The Pit Loader Operator is not limited to just operation of the pit loader and may be asked to operate additional equipment such as shipping loaders, skid steer loaders, graders, man lifts, dozers and excavators.

Role and Responsibility:

• Operate a large, wheeled loader in the quarry pit to load haul trucks that feed the crusher.
• Operate equipment in a safe and productive manner
• Perform routine maintenance and inspection of mobile equipment.
• Daily inspection of plant and site with the expectation to communicate issues with the Foreman and Mine Management
• Maintain clean and orderly equipment and work site.
• Help perform plant maintenance and assist in repairs. Maintenance may include labor work, cutting, fabricating and welding.
• Follow proper safety and incident reporting procedures
• Other duties as assigned

The Location:

• The position will be based out of the Waukesha Lime & Stone Quarry located in Waukesha, WI.

The Candidate:

• Have experience operating a large wheeled front end loader
• Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• Must be punctual and dependable.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Have the ability to work varied hours early mornings, and weekends as needed.
• Be able to tolerate and work in variable weather conditions, and work in dirty and dusty environments.
• Member of the appropriate trade union or willingness to become a union member are required. Union membership is not required prior to employment. Our Human Resources Department is able to assist in that process as needed.
