The Position:

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to join our team as a Payroll Administrative Assistant. This role is pivotal in supporting our payroll department with a range of administrative tasks to ensure efficient and accurate payroll processing. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player with the ability to multitask and adapt within a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in various payroll activities, including but not limited to: data input, analysis, and processing.
  • Facilitate the efficient flow of documentation between departments and assist in the timely submittal and approval of timecards.
  • Identify and address payroll discrepancies, contributing to the accuracy and reliability of our payroll system.
  • Support the tracking of employee paid time off, child support payments, and other specialized payroll tasks.
  • Provide assistance with union-related payroll requirements.
  • Offer cross-functional support within the payroll department, demonstrating a willingness to learn and back up different functions as needed.

The Candidate:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Experience in payroll or administrative roles is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and MS Office suite.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
